Rep. Lauren Boebert denies hitting her ex-husband after he was “aggressive” during a public argument that led to a call to the police.

Firebrand rep Lauren Boebert is ringing in the new year with another public outing gone wrong.

The Colorado Republican, 37, allegedly punched her ex-husband in the face after the two practically came to blows at a restaurant in Silt on Saturday night, according to reports.

Boebert (R-Col.) denied hitting Jayson Boebert, who told the Denver Post on Sunday that she would not press charges after he allegedly called local police as a “victim of domestic violence.”

“This is a sad situation for everything that continues to rise and another reason why I am moving,” Boebert said in a statement, according to KUSA, local NBC affiliate. “I didn’t punch Jayson in the face and no one was arrested. “I will consult with my attorney regarding the false accusations he made against me and evaluate all of my legal options.”

Boebert’s assistant told The Daily Beast that Jayson Boebert made an “aggressive move” toward her and she “put her hand on his face, put her hand on his nose” to repel him.

But another description alleged that the congresswoman managed to punch Jayson Boebert in the nose twice, prompting him to call local police as a “victim of domestic violence.”

Lauren Boebert reportedly called the police to refute the domestic assault allegation.

During his night out at the Miner’s Claim restaurant in Silt, which is in his district, Jayson allegedly began “being disrespectful,” began to become lewd and was “being a jerk,” the attendee recounted.

Jayson told the Denver Post that he called Silt police Sunday morning to tell them he does not want to press charges.

“I don’t want anything to happen,” Jayson allegedly said. “She and I were working through a difficult conversation.”

He interrupted the interview before giving more details about what happened between him and his ex-wife.

The Boeberts married in the mid-2000s, but later divorced in 2023 due to “irreconcilable differences.”

“It is with a heavy heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband,” she said at the time of the divorce. “I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children.”

Their divorce came shortly after their son Tyler, 17 at the time, got a girl pregnant.

Jayson has a criminal record and previously pleaded guilty to “public indecency and lewd exposure” for his actions at a Colorado bowling alley in 2004 involving two women when he was 24 years old.

Lauren Boebert herself also has a history of minor arrests, including for disorderly conduct and failure to subpoena.

The Silt Police Department is said to be conducting an “active investigation.” The Post contacted police for additional information.

A spokesperson for the congresswoman did not respond to requests for comment. The Post was unable to contact Jayson Boebert and his voicemail was full.

Before the alleged fight, there were tensions when Lauren Boebert drove to her ex’s house to take one of her children to dinner, the Daily Beast reported.

Jayson Boebert allegedly tried to hug her, but the mother of four rejected him. She later called to apologize and the two agreed to have dinner at a public restaurant.

This isn’t Boebert’s first high-profile fight.

He allegedly got into a shouting match in the bathroom with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) last year.

Last September, Rep. Boebert made waves by getting down to business with her then-boyfriend Quinn Gallagher, co-owner of an Aspen bar, while they were in the audience at a theater watching the musical “Beetlejuice.”

Surveillance footage captured her releasing a plume of vaping smoke into the air and appearing to touch her male companion’s crotch in the middle of the show. Gallagher was also seen fondling her breasts.

The two were expelled from the performance for causing a disturbance.

Officials claimed the duo violated theater policy by taking photographs and drew complaints from those sitting around them.

The congresswoman and Gallagher subsequently separated. Lauren Boebert later suggested that the two were not made for each other, because he was a Democrat.

“He was a little too eccentric. I am well known for having a lively personality. Maybe too lively a personality,” the firebrand told One America News Network after the ordeal.

The 37-year-old Republican was barely re-elected in Colorado’s heavily red 3rd District in the 2022 midterm elections. He narrowly edged out Democrat Adam Frisch by a measly 546 votes.

Frisch is vying for that seat again and has touted formidable fundraising numbers for the campaign.

Seemingly eager to avoid a rematch, Boebert announced late last year that she opted to jump to Colorado’s 4th Congressional District, an even more conservative region in the Eastern Plains.

“This is the best way I can continue fighting for Colorado, for the conservative movement and for my children’s future,” he said at the time.
