“We need to continue helping protect Israel,” he said.
“Israel is the protector of American values and democracy in the Middle East,” Norber continued. “It is the only democracy in the Middle East.”
Norber, a small business owner in Bayside, Queens, announced his primary candidacy against Santos this summer in the 3rd Congressional District. He is one of the few Republicans who have their eyes set on taking on the rookie representative who is under impeachment.
Santos lied about being Jewish when he ran for the seat in 2022 and tweeted that he stood in solidarity with Israel on Saturday.
“The United States of America must express its outrage at this cowardly terrorist attack against Israeli civilians,” Santos said. “I stand in solidarity with our staunch ally Israel and support its right to self-defense against Hamas.”
