Rao obtained a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media from MOP Vaishnav College for Women in Chennai. Before entering the glamor world, Rao competed in Pantaloons Miss India South and finished second. Rao worked as a presenter for season 6 of the Indian Premier League after competing in the beauty pageant.

Rao competed in Femina Miss India in 2012 and bagged the title of Femina Miss India International as well as three subtitles, “Miss Glamorous Diva”, “Miss Ramp Walk” and “Miss Body Beautiful”. She later competed in Kingfisher Calendar Girls, where she was chosen as one of the 12 finalists.
He rose to fame after appearing as Lottery on the comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show. In 2014, she appeared in season 5 of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. She was the second contestant on the show to be eliminated. She appeared in Fox Life’s Life Mein Ek Baar in late 2014, alongside Evelyn Sharma and Mehak Chahal, which was an adventure travel show. Rao has always been a self-sufficient young woman who started working soon after graduating. She had worked as a presenter on numerous television shows and had done many modeling projects.
