The Vikram lander gracefully touched down on the lunar surface at around 6 p.m. on August 23.

With this triumphant landing, achieved on the mission’s second attempt within four years, India has now joined the ranks of the US, China, and the former Soviet Union as the fourth country to excel in the technology of soft lunar landings.

According to reports from PTI, Chandrayaan-3 serves as a successor to Chandrayaan-2, aiming to showcase secure and gentle landings on the moon’s surface, traverse the lunar terrain, and undertake on-site scientific experiments.
