Ruhani started her professional career in 2013. She first appeared in the Punjabi album song Karva Chauth with Jinda Balagan. She has worked on several songs like Patiale Wal Nu, College Wali Yaari, Guddi, Big Fan, Sohniye, etc.
In 2017, she made her debut with the Tamil film Kadaisi Bench Karthi as Nithya opposite Bharath Srinivasan. Later, Ella Ruhani acted in some films like Chi La Sow (Telugu) and Kamala (Malayalam).
