Samara was first introduced to secular music in college and found her calling in musical theater. She earned a bachelor’s degree in theater arts from Genesee Community College in 2009. Right after graduating, Samara joined a jazz ensemble and performed in Russia and Spain. In 2021, she participated in the 21st season of NBC’s popular singing reality show, The Voice.
