Daughter of an Israeli kidnapped by Hamas in her underwear protests: “Don’t ask me if I’m cold, my father is colder”

An Israeli woman whose father was kidnapped by Hamas in his underwear calls for his release with a public show of solidarity in matching underwear.

“Don’t ask me if I’m cold, my father is colder,” read a sign next to Ela Ben Ami in Tel Aviv’s “Kidnapping Square.” video published by Channel 13 shows.

His father, Ohad Ben Ami, and mother, Raz, both 57, from Kibbutz Be’eri, were among the approximately 240 people kidnapped on October 7. He was photographed being dragged away wearing only boxers and a T-shirt.

“We are in the seventh candle of Hanukkah, [and] “I promised myself and my father that tomorrow he will be here with us to light the eighth candle,” he said, according to Walla.

“That’s why I’m sitting here, because we have no other way to shout our cry,” she said. “We need you to listen to us. I’m going to be as cold as him, I don’t know if they brought him new clothes. “You have to go home now.”

She was accompanied by her sister Yuli and her mother, who was among the more than 100 hostages freed during the recent week-long ceasefire, Channel 13 reported.

Raz thanked the people of Israel for their love and efforts to return the hostages to their families.

“I want to thank you for bringing me back, thank you for being here, thank you that I can come back and live my life,” he said, according to Walla.

“I am waiting for all the kidnapped people to return, including the love of my heart to return to her daughters,” Raz added.

Some 137 hostages are believed to remain in the hands of the terrorists.
