American Idol season 21 is being executive produced by Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman, Jennifer Mullin and Megan Michaels Wolflick. Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie will choose who qualifies for Hollywood Week, set in Las Vegas, New Orleans and Nashville.
ABC’s description of the series says:
“Several contestants from the United States showcase their singing talents in front of a panel of esteemed judges to win the title and a record label contract.”
The final 24 singers of American Idol season 21 will battle it out in live shows and will be voted on by the public. While the cash prize has yet to be announced, last season’s winner won $250,000. It’s anyone’s game as the competition heats up!
Contestants who earn a golden ticket will qualify for the next round, Hollywood Week, while those with a Platinum ticket will be able to skip the first round of the week.
ABC will air new episodes of American Idol season 21 every Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, and the same two-hour episodes will be available to stream on the network’s website the following day. Fans can also catch up on the show on Hulu.
