Seven people were injured when shots were fired at a Caribbean festival in Boston early Saturday morning.

All of the victims of the 7:45 a.m. shooting in the Dorchester neighborhood were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Boston 25.

Boston police said several people were arrested and several weapons were recovered at the scene.

The city’s annual Caribbean Carnival kicked off early Saturday, with a parade beginning at 6:30 a.m., according to a police advisory.

It is not the first time that violence accompanies the festival.

Last year, one person was killed and several more were injured during the event’s two parades, Fox News reported.
