Shilpa Shukla was born on February 22, 1982 in a Bhumihar family in Vaishali, Bihar. Her father’s name is NK Shukla and her mother’s name is Namita Shukla. She comes from a distinguished line of academics, politicians and bureaucrats. Her brother Tenzin Priyadarshi is a Buddhist monk, while her sister is a lawyer.
