They could not bear the temptation.
A mother black bear and her cub were caught on camera helping themselves to some Krispy Kreme donuts during a delivery to a military base in Anchorage, Alaska.
The animals robbed a van at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson after the driver left the door open when he stopped at the Express store, KTUU reported.
“You could hear them opening the packages,” store manager Shelly Deano told the outlet. “We were trying to beat the truck but they kept eating all the donuts.
“They ate 20 packages of donuts and I think six packages of three chocolate donuts,” he added.
Deano took some photographs of the raid.

“I said, ‘He’s in the truck!’ and then the little cub followed him and got into the truck and they started eating the donuts,” he said, adding that he called base security personnel, who sounded sirens to scare away the bears.
Candice Sargeant, local general manager of Krispy Kreme, said she was shocked when she heard about the brazen bear bandits.

“There is no way there are bears in the back of the van. You’d think about donuts and bears, and then I said, ‘Okay, how do we fix this?’” he told the station.
Sargeant said his team learned a lesson from the incident.
“We’ll definitely learn to slide down our ramp and close the gates to make sure the bears don’t get back in there,” he told KTUU with a laugh.
