The largest sequential formation of 41 paratroopers ever recorded on video
The paratroopers jumped at 120 mph from three separate planes 15,000 feet above the Nottingham ground on July 12. According to Skydive Langar, the organization that operates the airport and training center where the stunt took place, the crew teamed up to build two sequential shapes in the sky while airborne, the largest number of Britons ever to do so.
But the group did not stop there.
After two jumps, the team of British national champions, world champions, world record holders, coaches and skydiving instructors broke their record by performing three consecutive formations.
According to Skydive Langar, training skydiving is one of the first skills a new skydiver learns while getting their license. The practice involves free falling while holding on to other skydivers to form shapes while falling at speeds up to 120 mph for at least 60 seconds.
British Skydiving, the official body for the sport of skydiving in the UK, oversaw the unprecedented stunt.
“We are very proud to be a part of this new record and to push the discipline of formation skydiving forward,” Skydive Langar stated in a statement. “Thank you to everyone who participated and made it possible.”
Euphoria and triumph permeate the air as the gigantic sequential lineup is completed. The paratroopers’ sense of success is evident when they celebrate their historic achievements. Breaking the British record for the largest sequential formation is a group celebration of passion, teamwork and personal success.
The gripping video of 41 skydivers breaking the British record for the longest successive formation is a testament to the boundless human spirit and joy in breaking records.
