The railway disaster was depicted in sand art by the artist. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the survivors in his artwork. The Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express and a freight train collided near Bahanaga Bazar station in Balasore on Friday around 7 pm. According to the most recent reports, around 280 people have been killed and close to 900 injured.
ANI posted a video of Sudarsan’s artwork on Twitter. However, it was not well received online by users. Many people believed that it was completely ‘out of character’ and that the artist should have taken responsibility for it instead of being criticized for it.
“Someone talk some sense into this guy. Social media influence can wait,” wrote one man.

What happened in Odisha?
Three trains collided on June 2, 2023, not far from Balasore, in the eastern Indian state of Odisha. After first colliding with a freight train near Bahanaga Bazar railway station, 12841 Coromandel Express and 12864 SMVT Bengaluru-Howrah SF Express collided with each other.
More than 1,175 people were injured in the collision, which resulted in at least 288 deaths. It is the largest rail accident in India since the 1999 Gaisal train disaster and the deadliest rail accident since 2004.
The Ministry of Railways requested an inquiry from the central bureau of inquiry into the event on Sunday. The Railway Board has recommended that the investigation be handed over to the CBI, the Railway Minister said, “taking into account everything that has happened and the information the administration has.”
