Biography
Swati Semwal was born on June 23, 1992 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, in a well-to-do Hindu family. Her father, PC Semwal, works at Dehradun’s Coronation Hospital. She has an elder sister, Shilpi Semwal, in the family. Swati completed her studies at the Marshall School. She won the title of Miss Uttarakhand during her studies. She later participated in the fashion show organized by IMA. She has worked in more than 250 advertising films so far. Apart from this, she has also appeared in many television shows like Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Aahat, Lage Raho Chachu, etc.
In 2017, Swati made her Bollywood debut with the film Bareilly Ki Barfi in which she was seen alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao. She was later seen in important roles in Sab Kushal Mangal, Upstarts and Fanney Khan.
