Before launching into his video, Captain Nicholson assured his followers that although turbulence can make people feel sick and anxious, it’s generally not dangerous. Nicholson explained that people sitting in the front portions of the airplane usually feel the least amount of turbulence.

The pilot from Sydney noted that if you are seated way at the back of the plane, then turbulence would make your ride a little bumpier. Nicholson hilariously used his cat’s help to demonstrate how a plane moves in the air.

As he swished his cat’s tail, he told his followers, “The rear of the aircraft will swing more, the front will swing less.” He concluded from his little feline demonstration, “So if you are scared of flying or feel sick when you experience turbulence, sit up in front of the aircraft.”

The pilot warned his followers not to be scared of turbulence, as it is a rather normal fact when flying in an airplane. He told his audience to remember that the plane would not fall out of the sky. He added, “You’re all good. It’s just an annoying thing that hopefully will only last for a matter of minutes.”

He also gave some advice to travellers who feel sick when the flight gets bumpy. For those who feel sick or nauseous while flying, Nicholson advised looking for visual references when the ride starts to get bumpy. The best way is to look out the window and stare at the horizon. The next time you board a plane, remember to look out the window at times when your stomach is ready to give up.
