Swiftie devotee Tori Hedges welcomed her bundle of joy “not even 20 minutes” after Taylor Swift’s performance at the Eras Tour stops in Cincinnati, Ohio. Hedges shared the remarkable story with WBTV on Tuesday.
While it’s unclear which specific concert Hedges attended, Swift performed in Cincinnati on Friday and Saturday nights.
Hedges admitted that her due date was weeks after the concert, leading her to believe it would be safe to attend the event and experience the magic of Taylor Swift live.
“We were happy that we could get there and go, hoping that I could do it, and luckily I was able to do it for the most part.” said the new mom.
As Hedges and her friend were leaving the venue, she recounted: That’s when I thought: ‘I think, I think I have to go to the bathroom.'”
“When my friend realized what was going on, she started to freak out and grabbed the first person she could find outside the bathroom.” she remembered.
After realizing Hedges was in labor, a Good Samaritan immediately called 911 for help. Reflecting on the experience, Hedges expressed his amazement at Swift’s concert, describing it as “very, very amazing”.
He added that the night now has even deeper meaning due to the unexpected turn of events.
“People say that I started my new era as a mother, so leave the Eras Tour and enter my new one.” she said.
During Saturday’s concert in Cincinnati, Taylor Swift delighted the audience with three unexpected songs.
The first surprise was her rendition of “Ivy” from the album “Evermore,” featuring Cincinnati native Aaron Dessner, founder of The National.
“Over the past few years, I’ve met a collaborator that I really like,” Swift said during her presentation. “He’s the craziest, most wonderful thing to ever come into my life. Turns out he’s from Cincinnati, Ohio.”
Continuing to wow the crowd, Swift invited singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams to join her on stage for a heartfelt rendition of Abrams’ song “I Miss You, I’m Sorry.”
Due to weather conditions, Swift moved the show’s schedule up an hour, unfortunately cutting Abrams’ opening act from the lineup.
Lastly, Swift showcased her musical versatility by performing “Call It What You Want” from the “Reputation” album, deftly playing the piano.
Taylor Swift’s triumphant return on the Eras Tour delighted fans with 44 unforgettable songs, including these amazing and memorable performances in Cincinnati.
