After two decades of constantly avoiding her teaching responsibilities, an Italian teacher, Cinzina Paolina De Lio, has finally faced the consequences of her actions.

Throughout her 24-year tenure, De Lio earned a reputation as the worst teacher in the country due to her blatant negligence.

He frequently ignored his students, came to class unprepared, and forgot his textbooks.

Adding insult to injury, De Lio was caught texting during oral exams and providing irrelevant feedback to the submitted paper. The culmination of these heinous actions resulted in his dismissal from the teaching profession.

The Supreme Court has described her as “permanently and unsuitable” for the post.

De Lio successfully evaded his job responsibilities by taking advantage of sick leave, vacation time, and attending conferences.

According to Italian media, the teacher presented 67 certificates of sick leave in the last two decades and had two absences due to work accidents.

In addition, she had three periods of sick leave for health reasons (maternity and lactation) and days off to care for her child.

Apart from the aforementioned periods, De Lio also took seven paid parental leave and days off to help family members with disabilities and received five exemptions for training courses.

Following his dismissal from the school, De Lio became involved in a legal battle to get his job back.

This led a court to declare the dismissal provision invalid and reinstate his employment, despite acknowledging his disorganization and carelessness.

School board inspectors became aware of his inappropriate and unconventional teaching methods during one of his rare appearances. They observed confusing and improvised lessons, noting a lack of logical coherence.

The court’s initial decision to dismiss her has now been reversed, upholding her dismissal for “absolute and permanent ineptitude for teaching.”

When approached by the media for comment, De Lio responded: “Sorry, I’m on the beach now,” further stating that he would not answer questions from journalists whom he felt lacked impartiality in portraying the truth of its unique story. .
