Texas bus driver suspended after nearly hitting 3 children crossing road in front of horrified parents: ‘What the hell!

A Texas school bus driver was suspended after nearly hitting three children who were crossing the street moments after being dropped off Wednesday.

The situation was caught on camera and witnessed by horrified parents, including a mother who can be heard yelling at her young daughter to get out of the way as the bus moved toward her and a child, according to footage obtained by Fox 4.

“What the hell!” the frustrated mother shouts in the clip.

A third boy, who was about to get in front of the bus, stepped back to avoid the threat.

“I wasn’t even 20 meters from him and I wouldn’t have been able to help him,” Matt McCormick, who was picking up his son after school, told the local outlet.

“There was not even time for anyone to be on the other side of the street. Nothing. Just goodbye”.

McCormick’s 6-year-old son is dressed in green in the video.

“Once I knew it was okay, I was more angry than anything else that someone could allow that to happen,” he added.

The boy’s father filed a complaint with the Denton Independent School District, north of Dallas, that same day and attached the video.

She claims the district responded with an email with basic information about the incident, but did not provide any explanation as to why the driver nearly hit her son.

“Thankfully nothing happened to him, nothing happened to the other kids, everyone is completely fine except for the emotional stressors,” the parent said, adding that he is not satisfied with the way the Independent School District of Denton handled the incident.

The driver has since been suspended, according to the television station, while the district continues its investigation.

“They don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to hiring drivers,” McCormick said.
