Birmingham, known for its lively culture and bustling city life, has raised the bar for summer pleasure with the grand launch of its biggest beach yet. This exciting attraction promises to be an adventurer’s dream, with slides, rides and even roller coasters that will leave visitors with unforgettable memories.
This is partly due to the lack of a beach or coastline in Birmingham where visitors can rest and cool off from the heat. However, it started on July 16, 2023; A new sand court will open in the center of town, providing visitors with everything they need for a summer visit.
Digbeth Funfair and Beach is gearing up for another year of entertainment with a variety of activities.
Since its debut, the fair has been a great success among locals and tourists.

Danter Attractions, a theme park company, operates the beach attraction and keeps visitors updated through its Birmingham Beach Facebook page. A Facebook post reads: “The rides arrive every day, but more importantly, over 500 tons of sand has arrived to build the biggest beach in Birmingham.”
Water features and slides are among the other attractions, with more to come. Visitors will be invited to the Smithfield location in Birmingham city center on July 14; however, due to technical issues, the beach will open on July 16.
The Faire is a short walk from Birmingham’s famous Bullring Shopping Center and Birmingham Grand Central and Rag Market.

Digbeth Funfair and Beach is conveniently located between Birmingham New Street and Birmingham Moor Street stations. Birmingham Bus Station and other local bus services are also within walking distance.

- The beach opens 7 days a week from 12:00 p.m.
- The beach and all beach activities are free, including sun loungers, available for use throughout the day.
- Entry to Birmingham Beach is free, and security is always at the front gate and around the grounds.
- All attractions for adults, children and games will be priced from £1.
