A ground-breaking discovery in Antarctica has revealed the presence of what some experts refer to as the ‘oldest pyramid on earth.’ This mysterious edifice, hidden beneath the cold continent, has sparked a whirlwind of excitement and intrigue, with conspiracy theories rife.
A History Channel team made the incredible discovery. They discovered an old pyramid hidden under layers of ice in the freezing terrain. The construction appears to precede all other known pyramids, hinting at a great civilization that once existed in this icy expanse.

According to social media users and conspiracy theorists, the new pyramid has been discovered in Antarctica. Satellite photographs have recently been released, and many people are convinced that the strange triangle structure on the frigid and icy continent is the world’s newest wonder.
It has puzzled many people leaving them wondering where a new pyramid might have come from. Images shot over the southern half of Antarctica’s Ellsworth Mountain range revealed the massive pyramid-shaped structure. Some strange-looking peaks that appear to be sprouting from the ground have appeared.
One reportedly measures up to two kilometres in each direction of its square base – very comparable to Egypt’s Great Pyramid of Giza. Since the photographs went viral this week, many conspiracy theorists have speculated about how the structure got there and what it could be.

But, before you get your tin foil caps too tight, the building has been revealed to be a mountain. “The pyramid-shaped structures are located in the Ellsworth Mountains, which is more than 400 km long, so it’s no surprise rocky peaks are cropping out above the ice,” geologist Dr Mitch Darcy said. The summits are made of rock, and the shape of this particular peak is just coincidental. It’s not a difficult shape. Thus it’s also not a unique coincidence. It is a nunatak, a rocky outcropping protruding over a glacier or ice sheet. This one has a pyramid shape, yet it is not a human-made structure.”
The Ellsworth Mountains are Antarctica’s highest mountain range, forming a 350km long and 48km broad chain of mountains on the western side of the Ronne Ice Shelf in Marie Byrd Land. They are located within Chile’s Antarctic territorial claim and were discovered in 1935 by Lincoln Ellsworth while flying from Dundee Island to the Ross Ice Shelf. The Ellsworth Mountains have a cold -30C average temperature, and the area only has a brief season to explore, with the optimum period for trips being November to January.
