‘They won my heart’: Uruguayan tells how he fell in love with Honduras

A Uruguayan named Matías Martínez has fallen in love with Honduras thanks to his girlfriend and thus records his daily life on his social networks.

Martínez usually shares with his followers his experiences getting to know Honduras, where he is currently, after falling in love with Indris Díaz, a catracha stole the South American’s heart.

Currently, he is in San Pedro Sula, Cortés, northern Honduras, and has visited various places, leaving his opinions on social networks, mostly positive, showing himself in love with the country of his beloved.

He even had an experience that he thought would never happen to him as a tourist: feeling a tremor.

“The earthquake shook everything, the entire house moved,” said the young man, although his girlfriend reacted that it felt “normal.”

One of the things he highlighted about Honduras is that he thought it was a good idea for a bank to have WiFi, since it is different in his country.

“In Uruguay, take your cell phone out at the bank and the police arrive. Here they put WiFi on you and give you the password,” he said.

Given this, along with the photo, he stated that the country is already in his heart.

“They won my heart,” the young man wrote.

Likewise, a coffee lover from Honduras showed up, highlighting the businesses and cafes that sell the aromatic catracho.

“I am worried”

However, something that indicated that the country is concerned is the number of cables for electrical energy in public lighting.

“Something I don’t understand is the number of cables they use for power, it seems dangerous to me that they are hanging, I had never seen it, it seems dangerous for children, this worried me a lot,” he said.

A love that has no borders

In his TikTok profile, the young man showed with his Honduran girlfriend how they made a plan to live together. Currently, they own a marketing business in which they work together.
