The film reportedly earned ₹13.50 crore nett in India on the day of its release, considering all the languages it was released in. It managed to sell around 1.30 lakh tickets in the same theater chains on its first day.

Who was Oppenheimer?
In case you were one of the many who ended up on Google after seeing the movie, Nolan’s recent release is a historical thriller and is based on the life of American theoretical physicist and director of the Los Alamos Laboratory during World War II, J. Robert Oppenheimer.
The film chronicles the creation of the deadly atomic bomb. When asked about the film, critic Bob Mondello called it a monument to science and the hubris of genius.
