Confused? Let us explain. So, there’s a YouTuber who likes to breed, sell, buy, and keep goldfish. You can look him up under the username – Luke’s Goldies. Much like his most recent videos, in one clip, he introduced his followers to an ugly baby goldfish that he randomly came across in his fish tank. The little creature was but a speck on Luke’s palm.

Seeing the popularity of the odd creature, he listed the fishy on his website and put it up for sale for the price of Rs 122 ($1.49). To his surprise, within ten minutes of posting that video, the fish was sold.

The shocking part of the purchase was not just the speed of the customer but also the fact that even though the fish did not cost much, the shipping alone on the purchase came out to be about $40 (over Rs 3200).

The Fish Was A Low-Quality Ranchu

Moreover, in the video, Luke also mentioned that the goldfish was a low-quality ranchu that would probably not even survive the commute to its new owner. Putting aside his doubts about the fish, Luke packed up the order. He branded the packet with the name of the fish, which he dubbed ‘Ugly Survivor’.

While packing the order, Luke also mentioned that he made little to no money on the sale and only did it for the fun of it. Well, it looks like Luke started an internet phenomenon because the customer who bought the little fish baby made a dedicated Instagram and Youtube page for the ‘Lil Ugly Survivor.’

As it turns out, it was not just one customer who was interested in the goldfish’s survival but also thousands who flocked over to these newly created accounts and waited for the fish to reach its new home.

Over the span of three days, the account gained over 23K followers. Now, the fish is finally with its new owner after unexpectedly surviving the trip.
