The triple j Hottest 100 of Like A Version results were locked and loaded once the votes were counted. set to be revealed in real time during a marathon listening session this coming Saturday, July 15, 2023. Triple J’s bean counters have dropped some teasers to whet your appetite. First of all, with 16 songs on the main chart, it seems that 2019 has been declared the best year ever for Like A Version. Four out of five covers on the countdown, or 80%, are performed by local musicians, so a large presence of indigenous talent can be anticipated. It’s interesting to note that 17 artists will be making their Hottest 100 debut on Saturday and there will be one newcomer performing twice, meaning their Like A Version covers didn’t chart on the official Hottest 100 for the years of their release.
