The 77-year-old man looked at a Glock pistol with his face stamped on it during a stop at Palmetto State Armory in Columbia on Monday, expressing his desire to purchase the gun.
“I have to buy one,” the former president exclaimed as he smiled down at the deadly firearm.
Anyway, that it would have been a crime for Trump to acquire the gun, as he currently faces 91 felony charges in four separate indictments.
Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung appeared to briefly forget that fact, posting a clip of the former president examining the gun on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Trump is facing a 34-count indictment from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for allegedly withholding business records to hide hush money payments, a 40-count indictment related to the alleged hoarding of classified documents, a federal indictment of four counts for his attempt to remain in power after the 2020 election, and a 13-count indictment in Georgia for alleged similar crimes.
The former president has strenuously denied wrongdoing across the board and has denounced the legal onslaught against him as electoral interference.
A Trump campaign spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
