Tushar Deshpande is an Indian cricketer. He used to play domestic cricket for the Mumbai team. Tushar bowls right-arm at medium speed and bats left-handed. He made his List A debut for Mumbai in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 19 September 2018. In 2022, he was part of Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2022.
Birth and early life
Tushar Deshpande was born on May 15, 1995 in Kalyan, Mumbai, to Uday and Vandana Deshpande. He wanted to become a cricketer since childhood. He started teaching cricket along with his studies. Tushar used to travel daily from Kalyan to Shivaji Park Gymkhana for training and practice. His parents never forbade him to play cricket and always encouraged him.
In 2019, when Tushar was playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, his mother died of cancer. However, Tushar played in the match and took 4 wickets for 19 runs and made a major contribution to his team’s victory.

Career
Tushar started out in cricket playing for the Mumbai Under-16 and Under-19 team, and plays for the Mumbai India-A National Cricket team. Tushar took five wickets while playing in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare List-A Trophy. His name was selected in the Duleep Trophy 2019. Tushar was practicing at Shivaji Park, Cricket Academy, which is located in Dadar, Mumbai, where once Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar used to practice cricket.

Tushar was bought by Delhi Capitals in 2020 for an agreed price of Rs. 20 lakh. He then played 5 matches, as far as batting is concerned, he scored 21 runs by hitting two fours and 1 six with an average of 21.00.
