Two seriously injured in electrical fire at Sen. Jon Osoff’s office and residences in Atlanta skyscraper

Two people were seriously injured after an electrical fire broke out in an Atlanta skyscraper that houses a Democratic senator’s office Saturday afternoon.

Atlanta police were called to 271 17th St. in the Atlantic Station neighborhood after reports of a possible explosion at the building where Sen. Jon Ossoff’s office is located along with law offices and residences.

The senator has not publicly addressed the incident.

An electrical contractor working on the 15th floor suffered a “severe electrical shock” and two people were hospitalized, firefighters told 11 Alive.
