UPSC CSE 2022 Result: Meet Mayur Hazarika, Only Male Top 5 Candidate; Assam CM Extends Wishes

The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, also congratulated Mayur Hazarika on his outstanding performance in the exam.

The results of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Exam, 2022, have been announced today. Assam’s Mayur Hazarika secured the All-India rank 5, while the women topped the exam by landing four out of the top five positions in the results declared on Tuesday.

The first four top are candidates, including Ishita Kishore who emerged first with AIR 1, followed by Garima Lohia, Uma Harathi and Smriti Mishra. While Mayur has excelled among the men in the UPSC CSE 2022 exam.

Those who have sat the exams can check their final results at upsc.gov.in.

Here is everything you need to know about Mayur Hazarika:

– Hailing from Tezpur in Assam, Hazarika obtained the High School Completion Certificate (HSLC) and passed the Higher Secondary (HS) Exam.

– Hazarika completed her graduation from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital and completed her senior secondary education from Ramanujan junior college in Nagaon district.

– He is a doctor by profession and is also engaged in the national health mission in Assam.

– While speaking to ANI news agency after getting AIR 5 in UPSC CSE 2022 exams, Hazarika said, “I didn’t expect to get such a good grade. Now I am satisfied with the result. My first preference is Indian Foreign Services.”

– Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter and congratulated Hazarika on her outstanding performance in the exam. “By securing the 5th rank of All India, she has made us all very proud. Her achievement is excellent and will inspire our youth to aspire for the best. Well done and my blessings,” said the Assam CM.

UPSC CSE Pretests were conducted on June 5, 2022, and results were announced on June 22. UPSC’s main exam was held from September 16 to 25, with results announced on December 6, while interviews ended on May 18.
