US, UK carry out strikes on at least 30 Houthi targets in Yemen: reports

The United States and the United Kingdom reportedly attacked at least 30 Houthi targets in Yemen on Saturday night.

Targets linked to the Iran-backed terrorist group in 10 locations were attacked by U.S. F/A-18 fighters launched from the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, and U.S. warships in the Red Sea also fired Tomahawk missiles, U.S. officials said.

The targets included command and control operations centers, an underground weapons storage facility and other weapons that the Houthis have used to attack international shipping ships, CNN reported, citing an unnamed US official.

Saturday’s strikes against the Houthis came after a U.S. strike overnight Friday on 85 targets linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and related militias in Iraq and Syria, in retaliation for a drone strike that killed three soldiers. Americans in Jordan last weekend.
