Lindsay Shiver, a 36-year-old woman from Georgia, found herself behind bars after being accused of plotting to murder her husband, Robert Shiver, several months after the couple filed for divorce.

Following an investigation into a break-in at Grabber’s Bar and Grill on Guana Island, the police made a startling discovery. 

While searching a suspect’s phone in connection with the July 16 incident, they stumbled upon crucial evidence: WhatsApp messages pointing to an alleged plot to kill Mr. Shiver. 

Promptly acting on this disturbing information, the authorities arrested the accused.

The investigation into this sinister plot is now in progress as law enforcement endeavors to uncover all the details surrounding this chilling case.

“On July 16, 2023, at Abaco, [the defendants],  while being together, did, with a common purpose, agree to commit an offense, namely the murder of Richard Shiver,” the police report said, according to the Thomasville Times-Enterprise.

The trio appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley, not entering a plea. They are currently held in a Bahamian jail, with their next court appearance scheduled for October 5.

According to CNN, Robert Shiver filed for divorce on April 5, 2023, and his wife filed the following day, citing “adulterous conduct” as a reason.
