Jerry’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Utica Church of Christ, located at 115 N. Central Ave., Utica. The service will be led by Pastor Ben McKinstry, who will honor a life dedicated to honesty and devotion.
Jerry will be buried at Bell Cemetery following the service, where a funeral rite will be held. After this tragedy, the neighborhood came together to support Jerry’s family and express their grief. His thirty-year career in Washington Township as a highway supervisor demonstrated his dedication to public service. Jerry was a lifelong farmer who, despite his professional pursuits, enjoyed the simple things in life, particularly pulling the tractor. His love of farming was evident in his relationships with his children, Linden and Chad, his stepdaughter, Becky Carpenter, his granddaughters, Kiersten and Samantha Hull, and his grandchildren, Sierra and Kyle Fletcher. Along with a host of family, friends and co-workers, Jerry’s devoted wife of 29 years, Judy Hull, and her sister-in-law, Ann Riedel, will cherish his memory.
