She is best known for playing Meera in her film Oh My Kadavule alongside Ashok Selvan and Ritika Singh. Her first film was Orr Eravuu, which released in 2010. Additionally, she also did television serials like Maya, Aaha, Deivamagal and Lakshmi Vanthachu.

Career
While graduating, Vani began her career working as a ground staff at Kingfisher Airlines. She did publicity for Chennai Silks and this led to acting offers. As she had a great interest in acting since childhood, she worked hard to achieve her goal. Vani appeared as an actress in a minor role in a Tamil horror film called Orr Eravuu in 2010. In 2012, she received an offer for a supporting role in a film called Adigaram.
In 2012, she made her television debut with Star Vijay’s TV show Aaha alongside Benito Alex. The same year, she was seen as Jaya in the show Maya. Her most popular TV show was Deivamagal, which aired on Sun TV from 2013 to 2018, in which she played the female lead role of Sathya Priya Prakash alongside actor Krishna. She later appeared in Lakshmi Vandhachu as Nandhini.
