Vat Purnima Vrat 2023: Vidhi Puja

On this special occasion, married women get up early in the morning, clean their houses and take a bath before performing the puja rituals. After bathing, they wear traditional clothes and adorn themselves with ornaments, just like newlyweds. Visit the temple and offer your prayers to the tree by offering water, kumkum, flowers, fruits, akshat and sweets. Now perform parikrama or circumambulate seven times with a sacred thread around the tree. Listen and recite the Vat Savitri katha and offer bhog to the deity and needy people.
