One such school teacher is in the news after sparking controversy after audio of her went viral, sparking debate on social media. The Londonderry School of Canada has reportedly gone viral on the web after a teacher berated Muslim students for missing the school’s LGBTQ Pride events. A student recorded the teacher’s speech and posted it online.

This audio clip quickly went viral on social media and garnered a lot of attention. People are sharing this video online and making their comments about it. Now, after seeing many controversies, the school has issued a statement apparently indicating that the teacher will not be held accountable for her actions. This matter at hand has left social media users furious and they are sharing their thoughts on it. This audio was first posted on Twitter, and within seconds, it went viral on other platforms as well. So far, it has over a million views.
In the viral audio clip, an educator can be heard yelling at Muslim students for not showing interest and participating in the school’s Pride activities. The teacher states in the audio clip that “If you think it’s acceptable not to perform because you think it’s something… there are Pride activities at school, right? “Oh that’s good because I’m going to see my opinion hanging out at the mall.” Furthermore, he claims that students celebrating Pride month were also present in class when Ranadan was commemorated.
The identification of the teacher is not yet known as only the audio is available, not the clip and that is why we do not have the details of the suspected teacher at the moment. The teacher goes on to describe how other countries have strict laws against the LGBTQ community and takes the example of Uganda. She states that “We believe in freedom. We believe that people have the right to marry whoever they want. That is in the law. And if you don’t think it should be the law, you can’t be a citizen of Canada. You don’t belong here and I mean it.
