His former wife revealed to BFM TV that her ex-partner was a Christian. “She hasn’t heard from him for four months. We were in Sweden and he decided he didn’t want to live there anymore, he added, adding that he had never displayed a violent streak before.
Knife attacks have been commonplace in France in recent years, often carried out by lonely young men with minimal criminal records and possible links to Islamic State.
