Vikas Divyakirti is an Indian IAS trainer, author and lecturer. He established a UPSC coaching institute called Drishti IAS coaching in Delhi. Vikas is best known for his motivational skills. He guides all the aspirants preparing for UPSC.
Birth and family
Vikas was born on December 26, 1976 in Haryana. His parents were professors at Delhi Sahitya Hindi University. He was married to Taruna Verma, a doctor in Drishti. The couple has a son named Satwik Divyakirti.
Biography
Education
Vikas has a rich history of education. He did his studies at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Haryana. After that, he completed his graduation in History from Delhi University. Later, Vikas completed his post-graduation in Hindi Sahitya and Sociology from Delhi University. He also obtained M.Phil, LLB and Ph.D. Apart from that, he also has a bachelor’s degree in language translation, i.e. translation from English to Hindi, from the University of Delhi.

Career
Vikas cleared the UPSC exam in 1996 in his first attempt and was posted in Ministry and Home Affairs. He joined and worked for a year and then quit his job so he could teach students.
In 1999, he founded an institution called Drishti IAS in Delhi to provide streamlined training to UPSC aspirants. She started providing all the strategies and skills for UPSC aspirants. She started that training in Hindi so that the aspirants could easily learn about the topics, but later the materials were also present in English.
In 2017, she created a YouTube channel called Drishti IAS where she uploaded all the study material, lectures and motivational videos for aspirants. Vikas is the director of Drishti IAS coaching institute. He is the monthly current affairs editor, which is an important part of Dishti’s training. It is now one of the best coaching institutes in India for UPSC preparation.
