Violent clashes have broken out at pro-Palestinian demonstrations around the world following Saturday’s sneak attack on Israel by radical Islamic terrorists.
Authorities in Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles and other major U.S. cities were called in to quell skirmishes at mass demonstrations over the weekend, as pro-Israel counterprotesters clashed with supporters of the surprise attack on the Jewish state that has left more than 800 dead. .
Similar demonstrations have emerged in London and Sydney.
“We are here because we believe that everyone in the United States is funding Israeli apartheid,” Natalie Villasana of the Party for Socialism and Liberation told PBS during a rally outside the Israeli consulate in Atlanta on Sunday.
Counter-protester Talai Segal, a student at Georgia Tech, responded in support of Israel.
“Terrorism is never justified,” Segal told reporters. “Their target was Israeli civilians.”

In the attacks, Hamas terrorists indiscriminately killed families, women and children, took hostages back to Gaza and massacred 260 innocent people at a music festival near the Gaza Strip on Saturday. They also fired more than 3,000 rockets at Israel.
In Chicago, hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters demonstrated outside an Israeli consulate in the city on Sunday, taking aim at the country’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Another rally was being planned for Monday, the Toronto Sun reported, drawing strong criticism from the city’s mayor, Olivia Chow. Violence erupted at another demonstration in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, when a group of counterprotesters clashed with pro-Palestinian protesters on Sunday, CBS-TV News reported.
“A group of four of us were attacked by about 30,” Palestine supporter Aldair Labarda told the outlet. “They sprayed me with pepper spray three times in the face. “They punched me in the face repeatedly, hit me in the head, hit me in the chest and tore my shirt.”

“I condemn plans to demonstrate tomorrow in Times Square in support of the perpetrators of these horrible actions,” Hochul said. “The planned demonstration is abhorrent and morally repugnant.”
Meanwhile, French police arrested 10 people in connection with anti-Semitic acts reported since the Hamas attack on Israel, including threats to synagogues or people frequenting Jewish stores.
Prosecutors have also opened 44 investigations into online anti-Semitic hate speech or posts glorifying terrorism in connection with violence, according to Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin’s office.
