The now viral leopard entered the house in Narsinghpur, Gurugram. A team from the Forest Department had come to capture the leopard, according to media reports on Wednesday.
According to news agency ANI, a team of Gurugram police also reached the spot.
Footage shows the rangers waiting to begin the rescue mission while standing outside the house with their equipment.
There was also another video of the leopard wandering scared inside the house, which was posted on social media.
