The famous South Indian film actor Suraj Kumar has been in an accident. Suraj Kumar aka Dhruwan, an actor and cousin of Kannada morning hero Dr. Rajkumar, was seriously injured in a car accident on Saturday on the Mysuru-Gundlupet road near Begur in Gundlupet district. Surgeons reportedly amputated Suraj’s right leg, which was severely injured in the collision. He is the son of the brother of the late Parvathamma Rajkumar, the film producer SA Srinivas. To work in the film industry, Suraj used the name Dhruwan. At around 4 pm, Suraj was riding his motorcycle on the highway when he was struck by a dump truck near Hirikati Gate in Gundlupet Taluk.

He was the nephew of the late film producer Parvathamma Rajkumar and the son of the film producer SA Srinivas.
Suraj was reportedly riding his bike on the road near Hirikati Gate in Gundlupet taluk when the accident occurred around 4 p.m. He lost control as a passing tractor hit an oncoming dump truck. Suraj therefore had severe damage to his right leg. He received immediate medical attention and was rushed to Manipal Hospital in Mysuru. His right leg had a life-saving below-the-knee amputation procedure, so medical professionals said. Dr. Rajkumar’s son and a well-known Kannada actor, Shiva Rajkumar, visited Suraj in the hospital with his wife Geetha.
On his social media profiles, Suraj, an avid motorcyclist, regularly posted pictures showing his love for motorcycles. Suraj Kumar, who has worked as an assistant director on films like Airavata and Tarak, was scheduled to make his acting debut in Anup Anthony’s Bhagawan Shri Krishna Paramathma.
