Fans of the early 2000s animated film Shrek can call the ogre’s remote, squat hideout home and book a stay, all thanks to AirBnB, starting October 13, 2023. October 27-29, 2023. Visitors can book an exclusive two-person room. Stay overnight and take a holiday to the mud and moss covered Shrek’s Swamp, hidden in the quiet hills of the Scottish Highlands.

Shrek’s Swamp is a squat, secluded and cozy nest, a wonderful choice for an ogre seeking seclusion. The Scottish hills are the perfect place to enjoy crisp autumn days and starry nights while hibernating like a real ogre would. Two beds and a bathroom are included in the tree stump.

Toilets, sinks and showers are off site and about 20 meters from Shrek’s swamp. There is no doubt that Donkey will be a wonderful host, even though there will be signs outside warning people: “Danger”, “Keep away” and “Beware of the ogre”. Guests will have the opportunity to stay up late, tell stories, and have Donkey’s waffle breakfast.

Starting October 13 at 6pm BST, Shrek’s Swamp will be available for bookings on the Airbnb website. However, there are some simple guidelines that visitors should follow.
They must have an established track record on Airbnb and an active profile. They must also be at least five years old and possess a government-issued ID. The person making the reservation is responsible for organizing the trip to and from Scotland.
From the proceeds, Airbnb will make a one-time donation to HopScotch Children’s Charity, which provides rejuvenating holidays to vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
