A Twitter user, now X, who goes by the name ‘Monarch’ got a surprise when he ordered biryani through a food delivery app. He shared his surprise on the microblogging platform and revealed that a restaurant used an unusual ‘unit of measurement’ for biryani. The restaurant labeled a portion of Biryani on the delivery app as “Bachelor.”

The unique measurement unit amazed the user, so he shared a screenshot of the app on Twitter and soon the post went viral. People online were surprised but amused by the restaurant’s fun measurement system.

The ‘Chicken Masala Special Biryani (Single)’ was priced at Rs 284 on the app. It was basically a regular chicken masala biryani with an unusual label to measure the serving size. ‘Monarch’ shared the image and questioned: “When did we start measuring things this way?”
