The suspect is identified as a 21-year-old man whose name is Carlos Reales Domínguez. He was arrested Thursday around 1 p.m. Police pulled him over at Pine Lane and Colby Drive. Many citizens reported it to the police after seeing him wandering around Sycamore Park. He has faced two counts of first degree murder and one count of attempting to kill someone. He stabbed to death a 64-year-old woman named Kimberlee Guillory on May 1, 2023 at a homeless encampment at L and 2nd Street. He also stabbed to death a 21-year-old man named Karim Abou Najm in Sycamore Park. And he stabbed a 50-year-old man named David Henry Breaux to death in Central Park.
He is currently in police custody. Until now he did not reveal why he made this attack. Dominguez was a sophomore at US Davis. He was studying biological sciences in the online directory of the university. But he separated on April 25, 2023 for academic reasons. He is going to appear in court on May 5, 2023, Friday.
