Caleb Conley was shot and killed on Monday, May 22, 2023, while on duty with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office. The late deputy is survived by his two children and his wife. He was known throughout central Kentucky for his professionalism in law enforcement and also for being a devoted family man. Caleb was a strong man of faith and loved his creator, his country and his friends and family. Speaking of Steven Sheangshang, the Lexington Metropolitan Police arrested him on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Steven Sheangshang is facing charges of first degree robbery, first degree assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of second degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence. Deputy Caleb Conley was reported killed during a traffic stop on I-75 where Steven Sheangshang fired a shot as Conley’s car approached him.
