An 8-year-old actor from the Hollywood film industry, Dexter Ansell has become a topic of discussion on social media after he landed a new major role in a Hollywood series. The popular actor who played the role of Lucas Taylor in the ITV soap until two years ago, until Noah Ryan Aspinall took over the role, has also gained a huge following on social media. Due to his appearance in the ITV series, he earned great respect and love for his acting skills as he is only 8 years old at the moment.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Dexter revealed that he had been cast as a young Coriolanus in the Hunger Games prequel: The Ballad of Songbirds and Serpents. Along with the announcement, she also shared photos on Instagram of him and the photos show him being seen alongside Donald Sutherland’s version of President Snow from the original movies. The post also says: “Excited to announce that I’m playing the young President Snow in the highly anticipated prequel to The Hunger Games, ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Serpents.’ In theaters WORLDWIDE on November 17.” the announcement was made on the internet, many fans are trying to get updates about the series.
Dexter also thanked Mark Jermin writing, “Thank you so much to my wonderful agent @mark-jermin_mgt for this golden opportunity.” Set 64 years before the first Hunger Games film, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes follows 18-year-old Snow as he attempts to sneak into the Capitol to begin the life he will later lead.
Along with this, Dexter’s father Jonathan Ansell, who is an X Factor and G4 star, also made the official announcement. He also shared his enthusiasm on Instagram, writing: “LOVE: THE HUNGER GAMES? Well… Little Dexter hits the big screen around the world this November as ‘young Coriolanus Snow’ in the highly anticipated The Hunger Games prequel”.
This little actor has appeared in some of the best-known television series such as The Midwich Cuckoos (2002) and Christmas on Mistletoe Farm (2022). Snow mentors District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird (West Side Story’s Rachel Zegler) for the 10th Hunger Games when she sings defiantly at the harvest ceremony and attracts the attention of Panem.
