Renowned for his exceptional skills displayed on the cricket field, accomplished Indian captain Rohit Sharma has conquered numerous challenges throughout his career. With his record-breaking presence as captain of the Indian team in the ICC World Cup 2023, the captain is going viral for reasons other than his surpassing abilities.
A new Twitter thread has fans nodding their heads as it suggests a peculiar habit that Sharma often displays when the team loses a toss before a CWC match.

Who came up with the theory?
The exciting theory about the Indian captain started gaining pace on social media after Twitter user Joseph Radhik shared his analysis.
What is the theory?
Joe speculated that Rohit Sharma bluffs on purpose after the team loses a toss to confuse the opposition. Joe wrote: “Every time India loses the toss, I get the feeling that Rohit Sharma is just bluffing to throw off the opposing captain.”
Even in yesterday’s match against Sri Lanka (which India won easily), Joe points out that the Indian captain said, “We would have batted first anyway,” after losing the toss to Sri Lanka, who elected to bowl first.

The theory began gaining attention online after Joe posted it on Twitter.
Why did the fan think that?
To build his theory, the cricket fan attached other statements of Rohit from different matches of this tournament when the team lost the toss. In their match against England, Rohit used similar words and insisted that the team wanted to bat first. Earlier, while against Bangladesh, Sharma said that they would have preferred to bowl first anyway when Bangladesh won the toss and started batting first.
However, regardless of the election, India showed their power during the 2023 World Cup and won all the seven matches they played so far.
