An 11-year-old boy was killed and five others, including children, were injured in a shooting in Cincinnati, according to police.
Police received reports of the shooting in the West End suburb shortly before 9.30pm on Friday and found six people with varying degrees of injuries.
The 11-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene, Cincinnati Police Chief Terri Theetge said, according to local reports.
The ages and identities of the injured have not been revealed.
Three victims were taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, police said.
All three patients were in critical condition when they arrived, but one was discharged overnight and the other two remained hospitalized.
The other two victims were taken to University of Cincinnati Hospital and released Saturday.

There is no information about the suspects or what led up to the shooting, Theetge said.
“This is absolutely unacceptable in our city, unacceptable that on a Friday night six people were shot in one incident,” Theetge said. “It’s not humane to pull out a gun and shoot people recklessly.”
On Friday, Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval said in X“Tonight there was a horrible tragedy in the West End. The children were shot. At least one life was lost. “Our friends and neighbors feel unimaginable fear, trauma and anger.”
