Where does the bell come from?

A gigantic 2,400 kg bell made of ‘ashtadhatu’ (eight metals) for Rs 25 lakh is scheduled to be delivered to the Ram temple in Ayodhya in Jalesar town of Etah district.

The bell was displayed on a car in the district subdivisions before being transported by train to Ayodhya on Tuesday.

The bell, which is among the largest in the country, is composed of eight metals: gold, silver, copper, zinc, lead, tin, iron and mercury.

How many people did it take to make the bell?

It is produced by a diverse team of about 30 people. Late Aditya Mittal, a metal trader, stated that his brother Vikas Mittal, former president of Jalesar Nagar Panchayat, wanted to gift the bell to the temple.

5. Shree Jagannath Temple Bell, Odisha – Weight: Approximately 1,620 kg – Material: Made of an alloy of eight metals (Ashtadhatu) – Meaning: Revered as a sacred bell, it resonates with the spiritual atmosphere of the temple.
