It was while traveling along Elliott Heads Rd in Bundaberg, Queensland, this week that the Australian family encountered the yellow snake. According to his daughter Lilly Divine, the father jumped out unexpectedly while he was driving. He quickly stopped and informed the family that he believed there was a snake in the car that had tried to bite him.
Taking precautions, the family exited the vehicle and waited approximately five minutes. Finally, the snake exited through the driver’s side air conditioning vent. The family speculates that the snake probably entered the car through a door that had been left open overnight.
“Everyone started panicking,” Lilly said. “We saw him come out of the vent, but he relocated inside the car, making him inaccessible to us.”

In an attempt to encourage the snake to leave, Divine explained: “We left the car windows open overnight, hoping it would go away.” Fortunately, by morning the snake was gone. According to the family, they suspect it could have been a green tree snake and estimate its length to be just over a meter.
