A woman surprised her husband during their honeymoon trip to Jamaica after passing a note to the flight attendant announcing that she was recently cancer-free.

Haley Louvelle, 22, of Toronto, recorded the touching moment on social media moments after the flight attendant went over pre-flight instructions to passengers, video posted on TikTok shows.

Louvelle and her husband are sitting next to each other when she gently takes his arm and places the phone in front of them seconds before the adorable January 6 surprise.

“A young man on this plane named Josh was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in June 2020. Since then, he has received chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery to remove his entire right lung, thymus, the lining of his heart, and part of his diaphragm. . ”the flight attendant says over the intercom.

“He was on life support twice and was in and out of the hospital for years. She fought for her life and is now cancer free and on her way to her honeymoon in Jamaica! She continued the stewardess, causing the passengers to cheer for Josh before they could be instructed to do so.

“I was going to say, join me in giving Josh the biggest round of applause!” the flight attendant joked after realizing that everyone was already applauding.

Louvelle revealed to viewers in a video caption that she was able to send a note to the flight attendant asking them to make the surprise announcement for her husband.

The note did not appear in the video, although Louvelle revealed what the letter said in an interview with “People.”

“Hello!!! I wanted to see if there was any chance you could read this over the speakers,” says the note provided by People. “Possibly near the beginning of the flight so I can have my phone ready to take a video and make sure “None of us have headphones on yet? Thank you!!!”

According to People, Haley shared that her honeymoon with Josh was postponed three times after she was diagnosed in June 2020.
