Badshah was born on November 19, 1985 in New Delhi. His real name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia. He received his education from Bal Bharti Public School in Delhi. He attended Banaras Hindu University for a period of one month as a mathematics student, however, he transferred to Punjab Engineering College to study civil engineering. It was during his college years when he discovered rap as a way to express himself.

Career
Badshah started his music career in the music industry in 2006 by being a part of YoYo Honey Singh’s hip hop group called Mafia Mundeer. However, this did not last and Badshah began producing her own music. Her first song came out in 2012. Since then, Badshah has released several hit singles and duets like Wakhra Swag, DJ Waley Babu, Proper Patola, Saturday Saturday, Lover Boy, Buzz, etc., with renowned singing sensations. Many of her singles have been adopted into Bollywood films and have become some of the hits of all time.
Badshah has composed music for many blockbuster Bollywood movies like ABCD 2, Fugly, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, etc. starring actors like Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Fawad Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. Badshah has been nominated for several prestigious awards in the categories of Best Male Playback Singer and Best Musician of the Year at the Filmfare Awards and Mirchi Music Awards.
